Swanage Bay View Caravan Owners Association
Newsletter 120 - June 2023
Dear Member,
We hope you are well and enjoying the lovely weather. Since we sent out our last newsletter following the March meeting, we have for most of that time been without a general manager.
This has meant that we have been unable to further our relationship with Away Resorts. At the time of writing I believe that a new manager is about to be appointed. Fingers crossed that this one will last more than a few months.
Andy Romsey has returned to the maintenance team and is working 3 days a week. I always find Andy very helpful and knowledgeable.
A few weeks ago I had an issue with my waste pipe under my caravan. When it was sited in 2016, some bright spark decided it would be a good idea to support the pipes using cable ties instead of metal straps as per the requirements. Subsequently over the years the ties stretched and then failed causing the pipes to separate. To be fair to the park they sorted the problem out straight away.
My advice to you is please check to see how your waste pipes are supported, as when they fail it is not very nice what ends up under your van.
I believe events are happening in The View but only advertised on the park's Facebook page. This is something we will address once there is a manager in place.
