Welcome to the first newsletter of the new season. We held our Spring Meeting on Saturday 25th March in The View and it was very well attended. Greg Lashley and Jackie Fowler from Away Resorts talked honestly and openly about the plans for SBV going forward.
It is fair to say that there will not be any changes in the immediate future that we need to worry about. The new park manager Lewis Ridley seems to have already grasped what SBV is all about in terms of what owners want from the park management.
Jackie has agreed to take up issues relating owners marketing preferences, lack of general email address for reception and hard copies of newsletters going forward.
There was a lengthy discussion about communication and whilst members preference is to be contacted by email, in some circumstances when a quick note is required to go to owners, the quickest method is to use Facebook. Committee Structure
Following the meeting, Derek Kilner stepped down as chairman and the new chairman is Kevan Barton. Kevan is an existing committee member thus ensuring continuity is maintained. There is more on Kevan at the end of this article.

From the Chairman
Hi to everyone,
A small introduction to myself as lots of you won't know me.
I live in the far north of Dorset with my partner Heather and Toby the dog. I still work full time in the electricity industry but looking to retire next year to enjoy more time in our wonderful holiday home. Heather and I are at caravan no 97 so always say hi or you can email me at the association address with any questions or information you think might be valuable to our association.

Quiz nights will continue on Wed evenings.
Bingo will be on Friday evenings.
Looking to introduce bar snack food i.e. paninis, salads, chips etc from Whitsun spring Bank holiday onwards increasing menu depending on footfall.
Entertainment (tribute acts) at weekends increasing in number as the season progresses.
There are leaflets in reception with opening times for reception, bar and swimming pool, gym and launderette.
The park will be sending an email of their own anytime now.
